I liked it. But that probably had something to do with the low expectations I had for a film directed by the muppet respossible for Pearl Harbour and Armaggeddon.
I quite liked the way they seem to have solved that whole cars-burst-into-flame-and-explode problem in 2050.
And the way that even the director had to concede that the continuing survival of the main characters had gone from improbably to inconceivable by the time the fell off the building.
Well, a lot of the cars sounded electric, so that would at least remove the combustible material from the equation. But yes, I found myself quite removed from the action at several points; my internal monlogue went something along the lines of "I know they must survive this, because otherwise there would be no movie, but there's no way they should".
