Notice anything different?

Decided it was time to update the blurb on my journal's sidebar now that I'm able to move past my worry sometimes. (But not enough that I'm not still waiting desperately for comments on certain entries...)

Anyway, the blurb was previously:

Ye olde blurbe )

wikis, forbidden comment threads, comments, flame wars, 2011, omega, lj comments, strong bad, misunderstanding, productivity, garfield, homestar runner wiki, public entries, anxiety, gamergate, livejournal, lj communities, asperger, homestar runner, hatred, square root of minus garfield, webcomics, melodrama, 2014, controversy, social anxiety, worrying, comics

Yay for productivity on LiveJournal! I've been editing old community entries and tagging them as well. :D

Yay for a comment!

I'd hate to have to keep asking the same question too many times, but did you ever see this entry (January 2), this entry (May 31), or this entry (yesterday)? The fact that only pathvain_aelien has commented on the first two of those (and no one's commented on the third one yet, but then it hasn't been up for very long) is making me wonder - again - if they make sense to anyone else or just to P_A and myself...

Yes, I probably did see those entries! I know you want comments on your entries, though, but I don't want to say the same thing too many times. ("Yay for an entry!") Keep in mind also that LJ is deader than it was ten years ago, so I certainly don't get many comments on my entries myself. Maybe I should participate in those friending memes that are going on... perhaps you should also, but only if that's your thing!

I know I update a lot myself, but I consistently get comments on Blogthings entries these days, mainly from endlessblush. That is okay by me, since I keep my journal as a blog for myself to detail what I did in my life.

I understand. I'm not asking for everyone in my friends list to comment on every entry I've made (not even just for every entry this year, even though I haven't posted that often lately).

It's just that (as I said in the entry yesterday and the May entry - and in the May entry, I detailed new reasons why I feel this way), I still worry that the Forbidden Comment Threads have slowly and indirectly, but surely, been making me a misogynist for the past 3½ years...

P_A's comment on the May entry helped me feel better about it... kind of.

I have considered joining communities like add_me and newfriends (I forget whether there's supposed to be underscores in those names or not, but I haven't gotten around to it because I wanted to update my blurb, profile, interests list, glossary, etc. first. Which is ( ... )
