Library Trip and Getting Back to Editing...

I nipped up to the library here in town today, to take care of a few computer-related things (Didn't get as many of them done as I wanted to, since I wanted to get back early since it was warm today, and I didn't know how soon the bus would come: I ended up missing it anyway, and had to wait for the next one...). Plus, I also took out "The ( Read more... )

Mpreg. One of the great evils of fan fic, somewhere down with slashing the patently un-slashable. I can put up with it if they have a good explaination, i.e. a 'Junior' type thing or a gender swap, and if it's meant to be a joke. But the majority don't even have the sense to realise the limits of what they're writing. I avoid it like the plague, the few references I've crossed paths with are more then enough.

As hysterical as some of the mental images were (imagine our vain fellow trying to conceal the, er, changes in his looks), we both decided it was better if we didn't write it. This was all that came of it, which I posted on the Godawful Fanfiction Forum, as a fragment of a fic that I didn't dare write (someone started a thread on fics you didn't dare write, and I couldn't resist ( ... )

:wonders what Ref makes of the above fragment: Poor Flood. I imagine a certain soulbond is rather relived that you didn't go through with it as am I. There's a few mental images down that road that I'd rather not have.

Ref found it at the same time amusing and groan-inducing. As she put it: "The fankiddies need to feel what it's like to be pregnant -- Better yet, they need to feel what it's like to give birth to a twelve pound baby: *that* would cure them of writing either saccharine babyfics or Mpreg. Wonder if there's any way to replicate those physical sensations as a program and upload it to them ( ... )
