This is actually a very good point. It bothers me too when I see people automatically call them pigs and assume they cannot be partners. We actually need them on our side instead writing them off and fighting against them. After all they are armed and can be an asset rather than another enemy.
I find it too bad that people automatically write them off as enemies just because they wear that uniform. That their entire group gets attributed to be "bad" and all who fight against them are virtuous and "good". Horrible, horrible thinking in "my kin's the best". And if you look at those who make that judgment, you cannot even recognize the reason because they're some vagabond bandit group either.
