honestly, i think (partly) it has something to do with him releasing a CD outside of KAT-TUN. in as much as i'd like to see jin's solo work, i don't want this to be another shuuji to akira (relationsip-wise with KAT-TUN.) but maybe this time it'll be different, maybe they've grown up a bit. seems like everybody's slowly branching out (and i think this bothers me too - group-wise.)
