No, you shouldn't feel guilty about it. If scientific explanation makes you happy, then yay for scientific explanation. Don't feel guilty about the things you enjoy (unless they're *really* twisted or something). I for one am glad something makes you happy, and I must confess I sometimes feel the same way. perhaps not to the extent of wanting to cry, but still awe/glee/inspiration about the may a molecule fits together, or the way physics formulas intertwine and explain so simply the movement of stars, or the mechanics of a fission reaction....oh, god, now I;m doing it too:p :$
ANYway. The point is that whatever you enjoy, enjoy it, and be happy.
