Awkward Engagements anonymous May 19 2014, 04:25:19 UTC
So, one of the great things about the fact you can make kissy-faces with aliens in Mass Effect is the fact that all those alien people come from crazy-different cultures with their own customs, right?

Would love to see Shepard and her Alien LI, where Shepard offers to do something small that (to Shepard) is just a small little thing humans do when they're in relationships. However, for alien LI this is a Big Thing, pretty much an engagement.

Then, hilarious hijinks and/or cultural misunderstands ensue!

Sorry. English proofreading is not OP's strong suit.

Fifthed(?). I would even attempt to write a fill myself, but unfortunately I can't really think of anything else other than something I've already read in a fic once and don't want to steal.

Can I vote twice? Or should I take my "fourthed" back?

OP thinks double voting should be allowed since she selfishly welcomes multiple fills. ;)

I'd love to see both - especially Tali! I don't think I've ever seen a fic that really explores Quarian marriage customs, where as at least a couple Shakarian fics have hit similar ground.

(OP totally would not mind more Shakarian either, awkward Garrus is adorable.)

The prompt said Shepard and HER alien lover

Yes, so?

I often use the feminine pronoun when referring to Shepard, once I'm more used to playing with a female Shepard. It doesn't mean that bro!Shep should be forgotten. If this prompt would happen to be multi-filled (with both Shepards) why forbid it?
M!Shep needs love too!

(OP is doing a self-fill, because this idea grabbed me walking home from work and would not leave me alone. OP would still love to see other people try their hand at this. OP may or may not have a Mshep!/Tali idea that may or may not get written as well. >_ ( ... )

The turian had, at last, seemingly found the Tupari of his dreams, but finding supplies for the Normandy still took far much of her time, and convincing the Citadel shopkeepers not to gouge her out of every credit on her chit took even longer. By the time she hit the contamination bay, the clocks on the Normandy were showing 21:00 Zulu time and the CIC was all but deserted ( ... )

formatting error.... anonymous June 17 2014, 23:40:58 UTC
It's actually all written in reply to the first prompt. If you click this link:

http://masseffectkink.livejournal.com/7799.html?thread=39561335#t39561335

You can read the whole thing. There was indeed a part 2 that was written that got lost in a formatting error!

We're actually up to part 10 now so lots to read!
