Has anyone tried tanking with a volus? I'm posting this under Vanguard since I've been spending some quality time with Wombat the Bowling Ball lately, but this could apply to any volus.

Since I discovered that Shield Boost grants a second or so of invulnerability to the caster, I've been trying to use it pre-emptively. It's great fun standing my ground against Brute charges, blocking missiles with my face, or rolling my big spherical self out into the open to draw fire while my teammates flank. Things get unstuck rather quickly though if there are too many enemies, or if I get sync-killed... *ahem*

The Krysae Sniper Rifle. How does it work? I need to get 200K pts with it for the Rebellion achievement. But, I've only ever used it once, and that was ... not very successful, shall we say. It felt a bit like the Kishock, in that it didn't seem to 'want' to actually hit anything. Any tips for how it's best-used?

Ooh, I love the Krysae!

Aim it like a grenade or a rocket launcher. Aim for the feet; you'll get splash damage every time. A lot of times I'll just aim in the middle of a squad of baddies and they'll all take damage and then with a second shot, I've often taken two or more down at the same time. It is best used as a sniper; aiming from the hip is a bit awkward and is hit or miss - most often a miss for me.

Also, aim just over a critter in cover- the charge will still go off and hit them. Not at cover like you would with an AP weapon.

Best used against reds, not armored mobs.

Thinking of it as a straight-shot grenade launcher works the best I think.

Troubleshooting & Known Problems

**** Cheating Policies & Procedures - Includes information at the bottom of how to report players if they’re observed to have cheated (e.g., missile glitch, unobtainable levels, etc.) ****

Known problems:
- Modem/port setting recommendations
- 'Missile glitch' (which can get a user banned)
- Firebase Rio may cause crashing (seems to be linked to characters doing heavy melee)
- Opponent 'stacking' (landing one atop the other), especially on Firebase Reactor, can cause opponents to become partially immune to damage. Recommendation is to use melee or untargeted AOE to 'unstick' them ( h/t skellington1 and sinvraal)
- The escort drone gets stuck in the environment. One recommendation is to have one of the escorting PCs die, and it may unstick. ( h/t skellington1 and insects)
- Classes may be granted too many build points under certain circumstances (h/t lm_jillybean- Volus characters may get stuck in the circular support pillar
