I've been rolling this around in my head since exams finished and I wanted to throw it up here just to see how many people might be interested!
So like, who doesn't make up stories in their head for all the characters they play in multiplayer. (That said: who doesn't actually play multiplayer, and does it anyway? Come on, guys.) And based on the

*raises hand,* whoops.
I haven't played a match since they introduced the Biotic GOD volus characters (I can't help it, they shatter the immersion into a thousand tiny pieces for me) but I still fiddle with the headcanons on all of my previous MP characters every once in a while.
This isn't something typical for me as I've never RP'd before, but I'd be interested in trying something new. And back when MP was announced, I always fantasized that something like this would happen on LJ, since it does seem the perfect place. It'd probably be pretty fun to lurk if participation doesn't work out for me.

The volus kill me. Like, I just. I cannot. We might have to make up rules if someone's going to play a volus, I'm just saying.
Since it'll be run comm-style (and I've gotten the impression that a lot of people have never roleplayed before but REALLY want to try it), there'll probably be a way to sort of softly introduce yourself into it-- as mentioned in comments above, there'll likely be weekly prompts, which is a great jumping-off point. We'll do situation-based prompts (like "X AND Y ARE IN BIG TROUBLE, tell us how they get out of it"), but probably also character-introspection type prompts (like "tell us about the scariest thing X went through this week"). That way you can make a post and talk about it, either from their perspective or in third-person, and it gives other people's characters the chance to start a conversation with yours re: the prompt, which is always a lot of fun.
So YEAH. If you have any suggestions for what you'd like to see as someone who hasn't roleplayed before, totally do share!
