Extrapolation is fun. Take Salarians. We know they have a fast metabolism, which also affects them mentally: they 'let go' of stuff faster than us humans do (we find that out from Mordin after his loyalty mission, and can assume he's a reasonably reliable source, if extreme even for a Salarian). We also know their sex drives is permanently stuck at "low". So... what's their popular entertainment like? They're missing two major topics: love and heartbreak. What do they write songs about? They'd probably find the idea of a "romantic comedy" to be absurd, especially the mix-ups that invariably happen - because Salarians also like their brains.
