I hope my butt is not that big, but I’m happy that everything looks very firm in the game.

Clearly the most important aspect of any character.

I gotta admit, I really like her enthusiasm. Is it telling that the VAs are getting more excited for the game than the actual advertising? Heh.

When asked whether she planned to "romance" herself, Chobot said, "Oh, I’m gonna give it to me so hard."

Jessica sounds like a really sweet person. I can't understand all the hate she's getting. Is it because she's a "self-insert"? If so, how petty can you get? Oy. All I know is Benny better not get any hate for being another so called "self-insert" on account of looking like the guy who's voicing him. Btw, I'm talking about the Big Ben sniper.

Speaking of Benny, a guy by the name of Jesse Cox, who's also a gamer and VA artist, mentioned during a podcast that he tried out for the part of what sounds like a yet to be announced squadmate. He said he wasn't picked for the role, but the guy who DID get the part made the new chap sound "like a 45-year-old British dude." Obvious squadmate is obvious, tbh. :P

It's not so much the woman herself as the marketing motivations behind creating the character and choosing the voice actress that are coming under criticism. It feels like blatant stunt casting. I want to play Mass Effect, not an IGN promotional thing.

How it'll come out in the wash remains to be seen, of course, but my first impression hasn't been great. I'm sure she herself is a perfectly decent person, it's the EA marketing goons I don't trust.
