Obviously spoilery for those that don't wish to know anything about new characters and/or their roles in ME3...

Cut for potential spoilers... )

I'm reserving my judgment until I either see her in the demo (if she's there) or the game releases.

There was already so much hateful shite about Vega just because of the way he looked and I've already seen some of the commenters bemoan about her being 'Snooki' from Jersey Shore.

You know what's funny? I had NO IDEA what the fuck a Snooki was until I started watching the new Beavis and Butthead.

Ditto on reserving judgement.

I had absolutely no interest in Vega before seeing more of him, and now I'm really looking forward to seeing him in-game.

Yes, her appearance and casting is kinda pandering, but while my faith in the character designers has been destroyed by ME3's catsuit collection, I still have faith in the writers to at least craft an interesting character.

This!

Although, honestly, I am generally made a little uncomfortable by "insert" characters being made romanceable. Even when they're behind the idea, it wears on the edges of my comfort zone, much like 'real person' fanfic tends to.

But to each their own, and as a character, she seems like a cutie.

...I wanted to learn more about Diana's character, not just about how impressed the actress is with her appearance in the game. If this interview were more like Freddie Prince Jr's featurette about James, then I'd be way more interested about Diana.

How disappointing. >_>

This makes me curious - Bioware said something about people outside the squad being romanceable, right? And it seems she's one of the characters. I wonder if it's just like...one-night stand type of things, or if it's pretty close to a full romance? If you can kick her off I'm wondering if they went for a relationship closer to casual/one night stand, cause it seems like a waste of resources to do a significant romance with someone who only hangs around on the ship and might end up kicked off.

I've heard there's a couple of mini romances in the game.

I remember hearing that Donnelly was supposed to be a Kelly-esque mini romance in ME2 so I'm wondering if he's going to be a mini-romance in ME3 as well? (Or will they have a Gabby/Ken romance instead?)

I thought I'd read that Gabby and Ken were supposed to be options in ME2 for Shep but it got cut, not that I can remember where for the life of me. I would object to Gabby/Ken, though, their banter was totally cute :D And generally I'm pretty receptive to people in a game getting together if I don't romance them; I like when their lives don't depend TOTALLY on my character :D

I know nothing about her except her appearance and occupation. I thought Vega was a meathead at first and turned out to love him (so far) so perhaps this gal will surprise me. Maybe she'll be a total badass in the end. Ultimately I'm just looking at the screenshot and focusing on how...bad that model is. She looks 'droopy', much like Ashley looks half-asleep.

I agree about the feeling of stunt casting though. (Also there were established characters I'd have much rather had an opportunity to romance than last-game-addition reporter)
