Question about Paragon/Renegade Points in ME1

So I'm doing a completion-ist run-through of ME1 & 2 before ME3 is released. And I'm wondering if it's possible (or a completely ridiculous idea) to attempt to max out both paragon and renegade as much as possible. Currently in ME1, and my Shep is basically Paragade at this point, with renegade verbal responses, but paragon actions. I always ( Read more... )

Can I use the save editor to check my points if I've not completed the game yet?

There are a couple of conversation loops that can be exploited for endless points. I forget exactly where... but I think Lorik Quin is one of them. You can simply repeat the same conversation choices over and over until you max out the bar. It's not "legit" in the sense that it's a bug, but it isn't hacking the game, either.

I saw that one, but the wiki also says it can corrupt your save file.

If you're playing the PC version, you can use the cheat console to manipulate the morality scores.

I play Mass Effect on xbox360 and I have received both Renegade and Paragon assignments in the same playthrough. It was actually pretty easy, I had a look on the ME wiki so that I would know for sure where all the points could be gained. When it came to small things, like talking the Council I always went renegade, so I got a ton of points from assignments. Then when it came to major choices, like Saving the Rachni queen, I went paragon - a major choice like that nets a very good amount of points, so by making by 'big' decisions paragon and the smaller choices that didn't impact the game renegade I managed to get an even amount of points in each ( ... )
