[Filtered to Hungary]The meeting seems to only be a scratch on the surface of what's really going on. But I feel as if we need to be better prepared, should it come to a full scale rebellion, as being suggested. I understand that you would have some hesitancy in forming any sort of formal alliance with myself, considering the past and my ties to my ( Read more... )

I agreed, didn't I? At least until we overthrow the Queen.

I'm sure you'll have plenty of years to come to annoy both of them.

But how are we supposed to organize anything if it's kept private?

Not those filters, the ones on your journal. You can filter text to another person, or group of people.

While we all share the same ultimate goal, working individually is not a course of action without its own advantages. However, as the situation now stands, a temporary alliance would be the most efficient way in order to achieve that goal.

We currently do not know the extent of the Queen's power; it is far beyond normal human capacity, to be sure. Should this sequence of events be a trap after all, as a valid possibility, it is possible that negative repercussions would not be adequately mitigated by numbers. Nonetheless, the nations and the people that are kept here would have more of a chance at successfully fighting back should as many as possible work as one.

Therefore, I will accept your invitation. I will hold you to your promise of restored neutrality upon success. ...Meanwhile, I hope that whatever standing enmity between any other countries will not render this alliance detrimental to the achievement of its objectives.

You have my thanks.

I believe that we will be able to work together in an orderly fashion, given that our goal is one of such high stakes. I imagine that the onus of it will distract from the enmities that may lie, at least until we return home.

Mm, yes, I can see it being in our mutual interests to ally, and I will help, but I'll hold off on calling it an alliance unless Austria agrees to it as well. It's likely he will, but still. You and I have much better relations in the future, at the least.

As for "The People's Republic"... the Iron Curtain tore.

Understandable.

The future seems to hold some promise.

If the Iron Curtain tore, then my brother...is he free from Russia's influence?

It does indeed.

Yes. The Berlin Wall fell in 1989, and German reunification was completed in 1990. Russia has relinquished control of the Eastern Bloc but still casts a bit of a shadow over Europe.

Almost thirty years from now, but that isn't so long in the big scheme of things.

...If you are indeed able to keep your brother in check, I believe it may prove beneficial, under these circumstances. My neutrality has not changed since then, but given the current situation, I believe an alliance may be in order.

However, I will speak with Hungary on the matter first, before making a decision, and gather her opinion.

Thank you, then, for the consideration. I would tell you to take as much time you needed to speak with Hungary, but time isn't exactly in our favor for this. Still, I wouldn't want you to run into something without having had time to think if over beforehand.

I trust you know where to find me.
