Trail de la Colmiane

The major attraction to the Trail de la Colmiane was that it was free as in at no cost. Of course there's free and free. Given that we had to drive over 100km (and climb up 1300m in the process) and spend a night in a hotel near the start this wasn't really free. But I'm not going to complain about the costs incurred as the trail was spectacular

Oh, my, how beautiful! How chilly was it up top? Couldn't have been really warm at that altitude.

It was sunny while we were up there so pretty warm. Mind you there was a certain amount of snow on the N facing slopes so some parts weren't so warm. Also I didn't hang around and was sweating from the hike so it felt warm to me. However if you look at this image - http://www.flickr.com/photos/dirtydingus/3670318155/in/set-72157620567978941/ - you can see that the guy sitting down at the summit who was checking us off as we made it is wearing shorts so it can't have been that cold
