I live in Prescott, Arizona and have been unemployed for a year.  I survive by pinching my pennies and the kindness of friends and a good dash of luck.  I spend hours upon hours almost everyday searching for potential jobs, filling out applications and sending out resumes and cover letters.  I worry about making enough to pay the rent and bills.  ( Read more... )

One thing I've learned through the ol' job search is not to tell ANYONE about interviews.... I know it's easier said then done but it makes it less painful to not have to tell anyone about rejection. Or if you do have to tell someone try to minimize the amount of people. With all that said, like Beth mentioned I too admire your positive outlook on things! It was great talking to you last night. Keep your chin up and something will come your way soon. As my boss keeps telling me just learn to think outside the box.

Being able to be happy is much more important than being able to be employed. Kudos to you!
