As a huge Draco fan, I have to say this: thank you.
I read this fic a long time ago out of morbid curiosity (even though it includes two pairings which I hate).

Some things are better left as a mystery.
The Draco Trilogy is cliche, badly written, and the characterizations are terrible. I truly blame it for fanon!Draco (or, at least, increasing his popularity) - who I'm less than fond of. The Draco fandom is polarized between two opposite portrayals of Draco: either he's an evil, sadistic scumbag or a misunderstood, abused anti-hero. Both are BS. Sadly, all the cliches are probably what made the fic popular.

From what I read, the author's books aren't much better, and they seem rather similar to the Draco Trilogy. I haven't read them, though, and I have no intentions to.

From what I've heard, the author just copy and pasted bits from her fanfic and changed names.

I've been thinking of slogging through her books next just to get an idea of how far she took the 'take the names and change them' but I'm not sure I can handle that much punishment.

There are actual parts copy and pasted. I found the places on the Fan History wiki, I think it is called.

You're right. A good deal of fanon!Draco comes from her. Draco being dressed in leather pants, him having Snape as a Godfather, him being a playboy. And no... the books are not any better.

Wow, after hearing all the hype surrounding this trilogy, I am very dissapoint. Ten paragraphs in, and I can't stop cringing. Even the parts she didn't lift wholesale from other(published) works seem unrealistic. I almost feel tempted to read until I get to the Draco in leather pants...almost.

I couldn't get past the fifth chapter when I did my analysis of it last time. The Eliza Trilogy simply had a simple wish fullfillment tone to it, The Draco's Trilogy takes on a rather haughty tone of her work being better. That, and she pays a whole lot less attention to canon then the other person did. EDS had problems mostly with characterization, then anything.

Really great spork, I enjoyed it. You pointed out some things which I did not notice when I first read the fanfic, but now I wonder why I didn't pay attention to them before.

The Hell???

I haven't read your spork yet, I just wanted to comment on the sheer retardation I read was the so-called "plot".

I'm gonna read now, but what?? :C

Ok, the part where Draco claimed he'd kiss himself made me laugh, I'll give the Suethor that.

Other than this, wtf, where did Harry even go? And why does everyone hate Ron so much? I'm not gonna judge, since you yourself claim he's not your favorite, to each their own, but come on! Every Sue fanfic I've ever read hates on Ron, what'd he ever do??

And...sorry, but another thing that made me laugh, apparently, when they swapped bodies, they somehow turned gay as well, that shower scene was priceless (and your comment next to it fit perfectly) :D.

...Goyle's in love with Crabbe? Hawt.

Seriously? You say this is a famous piece of work? Good God.
