ME TOO. It was so clear that he was in love with Grindelwald, impossible to miss. I thought it was so very very sad. Poor Albus.

Oh yes. Now they have even more reasons to hate HP!

So much &hearts

*is lost* Ok mary please help me in finding the clues. (though I probably should reread all the books). It is going to be weird rereading all them after you learn everything i DH (I dont mean the Dumbledore is gay, man the D/M shippers are going to have fits)

I don't think there are clues as such, but when I read the parts about his & Grindelwald's relationship in DH, I felt it was very much a first love story.

It was really great of her to confirm it *yay* I always said I would love for her to actually have the guts to put a gay character into a series of children's books which are so high profile.

I also loved her answer to the kid who asked about Aberforth and the goats. LMAO! That woman is great.

I love the way she did it - that she didn't insert Token Gay Character, you know? "Oh, by the way, this is our new friend Tammy and her girlfriend Winnifred, ooh aren't we pleasing the fanbase?" That would have annoyed me. This, though, is completely right.

I didn't read that one *pouts*

It would have been total nonsense to just insert a gay character for the sake of it, because that's not what those books were about. It would have only made sense if Harry himself would have been the gay character. Or maybe one of his close friends, otherwise it would have been overly ridiculous; and even then it wouldn't really made sense because in which content would she have dealed with that? I prefer how she did it too. She got so much bashing for not putting an openly gay character in the books, but why should she, it would have been so random if someone would have announced he/she is gay.

There you go. Now I want to ask the question, I am wondering what her answer for me would be.

Q: In the Goblet of Fire Dumbledore said his brother was prosecuted for practicing inappropriate charms [JKR buries her head, to laughter] on a goat; what were the inappropriate charms he was practicing on that goat ( ... )

Three words: El. Oh. El.

I love it that this news even made it into the BBC radio news and the major newspapers and everything.
