It was really great of her to confirm it *yay* I always said I would love for her to actually have the guts to put a gay character into a series of children's books which are so high profile.
I also loved her answer to the kid who asked about Aberforth and the goats. LMAO! That woman is great.
I love the way she did it - that she didn't insert Token Gay Character, you know? "Oh, by the way, this is our new friend Tammy and her girlfriend Winnifred, ooh aren't we pleasing the fanbase?" That would have annoyed me. This, though, is completely right.
It would have been total nonsense to just insert a gay character for the sake of it, because that's not what those books were about. It would have only made sense if Harry himself would have been the gay character. Or maybe one of his close friends, otherwise it would have been overly ridiculous; and even then it wouldn't really made sense because in which content would she have dealed with that? I prefer how she did it too. She got so much bashing for not putting an openly gay character in the books, but why should she, it would have been so random if someone would have announced he/she is gay.
There you go. Now I want to ask the question, I am wondering what her answer for me would be.
Q: In the Goblet of Fire Dumbledore said his brother was prosecuted for practicing inappropriate charms [JKR buries her head, to laughter] on a goat; what were the inappropriate charms he was practicing on that goat
( ... )
Yes, exactly. That's just what I feel - and why I was so annoyed when there was whining about how there were no gay characters. And now people are wanking cause it's Albus, and not someone omg hawt. Despite the fact that he was what, 17 when he an Grindelwald met? Oh HP fandom *shakes head*
BWAHAHAHA *hugs JKR* For all the stupid things she says, she says ten awesome things.
Haha yes, it is so twisted! And omg, his relationship with Harry is so awkward now. WHY? Is McGonagall's relationship with Harry awkward? Nooo! But then again it is only gay people who want to jump everyone their gender. So idiotic.
Of course. Especially Harry! Because we all know that the special interest in Harry from Dumbledore and him had nothing whatsoever to do with Harry being the one to off Voldie, no it was all about getting into his pants.
Ohmygosh, I really love that girl who wrote down all the different ways Dumbledore's sexual orientation could have been revealed in the books. LMAO! FAB-O-LOUS!
Well there will be alot more crappy Fanfiction in fanfiction.net now. ;) Sorry just very disappointed in the fanfiction.net site. I am glad I can go into checkmated.com sugarquill.com to read some good stories. :)
Don't know if it is any good though, haven't had the time to read it just now, and am going to watch a movie with my parents, but I cannot wait to check it out later ;)
