Hetalia fandom is pissing me off today.

Today is the 4th of July. Independence Day.

Today is the anniversary of the day that America broke from British rule and became its own country.

Today is the anniversary of the day that America told England to fuck off in 1776.

Somehow, in Hetalia fandom this translates to US/UK Super Happy Buttsecks Tiem Day.

I tried to stay off my flist yesterday (cuz it's already Sunday over here but that doesn't stop them =3=) but it's like trying to go against a gigantic wave of people leaving a train station while you're trying to find two or three important friends. D:

The France/US comment was purely from a historical standpoint. And most of the fics aren't angsty. =/

This is why I don't watch the Hetalia community. There are too many posts normally.

US/UK annoys me on a regular basis. Today it is even more annoying. I don't even understand why US/UK is such a popular pairing. I mean, they're brothers. Maybe not by blood (do countries even have blood?), but England raised America. I see nothing but strange, angry, brotherly, relationship between them.

Oh well, I've avoided most of the community today. America is my least favourite character (I don't hate him, I just find him annoying), so yeah...

I don't like US/Uk much, but I could go with it if the fans writing/drawing it were any good. Which they usually aren't, lol. Unless France were involved...

Hmmm... Yessss, US/UK/France... with Spain... and Prussia watching...

I don't get it either. But it seems like they can turn anything into US/UK. :|
