So, you have 7-10 days over Christmas. You want to go some place guaranteed to be warm and sunny. Price not important. Where would you go?

Kona Hawaii. There might even be a white christmas on the mountain nd if you want to see rain you can always head over to Hilo.

More doable in the timescale than what my suggestion was going to be, which was Australia. Yeah, given where you're starting from I would go to the Hawaiian islands too.

First reaction: Florida. I like the Everglades...
Second: Agra, for the Taj &c. Note: check weather...
Third: South Africa, for the game parks. Too late for the condensing 25th-class 4-8-4s at De Aar :-(

Hawaii is slightly more interesting because of touring and historical possibilities, and also because I'm half Hawaiian via my birth father.
