The Stealth team for the assault on the New Mexico base should be assembling soon, so Cable can bodyslide them to where they need to be. He's got his GPS navigator set on a chair, working on determining the right coordinates, monitoring their communications traffic, all that good stuff

Mystique walks in, flanked by Avalanche and Toad. Blob follows behind them, taking up more space than the first three combined.

Mystique, Avalanche, and Toad are dressed in steel toed black boots, worn black leather pants with large thigh pockets, dull black longsleeved turtlenecks, and matching sunglasses. Blob's wearing his unitard. All four sport dual gun holsters, densely packed utility belts and a bandolier of ammo and grenades.

Avalanche puts out his cigarette on the marble tiles and instantly lights up another.

Mystique silently holds out two fingers.

Avalanche lights up two more, passing one to Mystique and the other to Toad. He frowns critically at the artwork. "Tasteless."

[mutant_science]

The natives are getting restless so Forge decides it's time to brief the troops.

He touches a single button on the sled's control panel and with a soft mechanical whine it reconfigures itself into a display rack.
Each of the crates now in the mutant inventor's easy reach he dismisses the bulk of the cargo and comes to the 'highlight items', now turning to the gathering X Men and Mystique's hoods.

As he begins, the directional lights on the reconfigured hover-sled snap on, spotlighting the crates closest to Forge.

"If I could ask for your attention I'd like to quickly review some of the more advanced peices of equipment that you will have access to for this mission."

Cable gives a quick telepathic 'pay attention!' to the rest of the room to make sure everyone's focused.

Mystique's eyes sparkle. Forge rarely brings anything like this out of the Vault. She holds up a hand, silencing Toad and Blob, then nods once in Forge's direction.

Whether or not the others are now paying attention, Forge opens one of the large crates, revealing the contents. It's filled with several body suits and hooded cloaks. The materiel seems to have a multicolored sheen that fluctuates across a color spectrum fully appreciated only by those with vision exceeding baseline human norms. Pulling one of the cloaks out of the box, Forge holds it out for the assembled mutants to see

Siryn enters quietly as Forge starts his briefing. His reputation had prepared her only a little for this presentation, and she can't help but wish they'd had his services during her X-force days.

Bishop passes her on his way out. Shaking his head. Not looking happy.

"All right, kids. Get geared up and report here. Drop point is about 2 miles away. Psi-bafflers up and running before you get there. They can't notice a blip. I'll expect an initial recon report in 30 minutes, then a progress report every 30 since then, much as you can. So we know what we're barrelling into. The rest of us will be taking the jet.

Get ready for a bodyslide. Won't hurt a bit."

Monet steps up in full garb. "Ready," she pauses, "and just so we're clear, who's the Stealth Team Leader?" She's pretty sure it's Banshee, which she can live with, but better to be sure.

"Banshee can keep you all in line."
