Reunions (tag anyone at Avengers' Mansion)

Repairs on Attilan had been long and ardous after the attack, and Crystal's elemental manipulation had been important for rebuilding the city. She'd kept track of Luna's progress periodically and had managed a couple of brief visits to Earth over the past few months, but it was only now that the repairs were complete. Another longtime Avenger associate is apparently on-hand today - the first face to greet her is not Jarvis's, as would be common, but Rick Jones.

"Hey, Crystal - come on in. I heard about Attilan - well, Genis's cosmic awareness picked it up, and he filled me in, to be accurate."

"Hi Rick. Repairs are going well, at least," she said, stepping inside when he offered. "Well enough that I won't be needed for a while. I was hoping that I could help out here for a while...Luna is going to school at Xavier's and I wanted to be around for her."

At the same time, she didn't just want to be a freeloader, staying at Avengers' mansion simply because she could. She wanted to help.

"You've come at the right time, I think - after Genosha, the U.N.'s had the Avengers about as busy as they can handle. Goodwill missions, international crimefighting, that sort of thing. You'll wanna talk to Cap or Iron Man to be sure, though."

"Of course," said Crystal. "I'm not going to make assumptions, but since I am going to be on Earth for a while, I thought I would volunteer my help."

She also didn't want to be too accessible to Luna, which was why she had no plans of asking if she could stay at the Xavier Institute on the chance that she wasn't welcome back as an Avenger. As much as she didn't want to admit it, Luna had gotten very, very spoiled, and needed to have those habits trained out of her. She also needed to make friends, and a school like Xavier's was a good place to do it. Crystal hoped that the children wouldn't have the same attitude to mixed blood as some of the Inhuman children did. She was certain that if Luna gave the children a chance, she'd have more friends, but she was well aware of what some Inhumans thought of her former marriage to Pietro, and what they had passed on to their children.
