"Great with a capital Grrrr..." said Jubilee from her seat on the Helicarrier. "Hey, let's have the Avengers, the best superhero team around stay back and watch while the volunteers from Mutant Town go run blindly into a war zone."
Jubilee puts her hand up. "Raise your hand if you're as excited as I am about that prospect."
Captain America hears that, and he can't help but sympathize with it.
"Unfortunately, we're restricted from direct intervention due to our official status. We can only do what we can to make sure everyone gets the support they need."
"Don't worry, Jubes. We've got special uniform jackets that will identify us, and both sides have been informed of our humanitarian efforts. If we get fired upon, that lets SHIELD and the Avengers come running."
Jamie's already got his jacket on, with a modified 'X' symbol - a red X on a white background.
"Oh I'm not worried Madrox," said Jubilee. "I'm just sayin' when they write the history books about this day, they better not let the Avengers take ALL the credit."
There were a handful of Young Avengers on board too, though not the whole team. A few had stayed behind on the home-front, crime didn't stop in one place because of a war brewing somewhere else.
Patriot kept half an eye on his people, but most of his attention was focused on the goings on around them, taking mental notes on the situation as it unfolded.
Teddy too was doing anything but keep his eyes to himself. Yes, they had been very sternly instructed to behave themselves, but he liked to think they could have figured that out on their own.
He wondered a little about what Billy and Tommy thought about this whole mess.
Billy was apprehensive about joining in, but as one of the mutant members of the Young Avengers, he felt obligated to help. As a strictly neutral party. It might technically (thanks to reality-warping) be his grandfather that was out there leading the mutant side of the fight, but Billy was committed to protecting everyone - mutants, baseline humans, and anyone else who might be in the mix, including his teammates.

At Fury's final exhortation, he does look back long enough to shake his head.
