There were a handful of Young Avengers on board too, though not the whole team. A few had stayed behind on the home-front, crime didn't stop in one place because of a war brewing somewhere else.
Patriot kept half an eye on his people, but most of his attention was focused on the goings on around them, taking mental notes on the situation as it unfolded.
Teddy too was doing anything but keep his eyes to himself. Yes, they had been very sternly instructed to behave themselves, but he liked to think they could have figured that out on their own.
He wondered a little about what Billy and Tommy thought about this whole mess.
Billy was apprehensive about joining in, but as one of the mutant members of the Young Avengers, he felt obligated to help. As a strictly neutral party. It might technically (thanks to reality-warping) be his grandfather that was out there leading the mutant side of the fight, but Billy was committed to protecting everyone - mutants, baseline humans, and anyone else who might be in the mix, including his teammates.
"I...I think so," he said, not entirely sure of himself. "We're Young Avengers. We're just here to prevent bloodshed as best as possible."
He'd be lying if he said his grandfather didn't scare him at least a little. He was powerful and his rather extensive reputation preceded him. But having an Elder God after one's soul was good for putting things in perspective. There was also the fact that he'd given Billy a year's worth of college tuition and hadn't shown any malice toward him.
