A Meeting in the Hospital

Cassie slept off and on all day and didn't stay awake long enough to do much of anything until there was a knock on the door

The door had barely clicked shut when it opened again and Teddy slithered inside. After a breathless moment spent waiting for one of the nurses to wrench open the door and haul him out by the ear, he relaxed.

"Hey Cassie," he said. "I know it's not visiting hours, but we've got an emergency team meeting."

He moved away from the door so the others could sneak in without tripping over him.

Oh crap she knew there was something she needed to do. Apparently reaching over to send a text to her friends was too complicated to remember.

"Uhm..."

Kate followed not more than three steps behind with a few cans of pop (caffeine free for Cassie) and spoke up, "There are two nurses down the hall freaking out about having 'Stature' in their hospital. Did they find the tattoo that we all decided to get on our asses?"

"I don't know what happened but this nurse brought in her daughtre who wanted Stature's autograph."

Oooh, coke. Sweet.

Cassie couldn't wait for her friends to say it.

"Who saw him?"

"I was slee-" Cassie stopped the automatic excuse when she registered what Danny said. "He WHAT?"

Oh God if he was evil and killed robot Nate and everything was true and...

And she'd totally made out with him all night and fell asleep in his arms and... Well maybe he wasn't totally evil? Right?

"He gave us a sun roof," Kate said. "Of course, the mess on the floor leaves something to be desired," she shrugged.

"On the other hand he assures me he's not Kang."
