Reed Richards is, unusually, spending some time in his business office in the Baxter Building, rather than the laboratory. In his hands is a folder labelled 'Excelsior', containing the details of a proposal that bore careful study

Phil straightened his tie, wearing the best suit he could afford, and stepped into the elevator. There weren't any buttons. "Uh... Reed Richard's office?" The elevator took off a moment later, opening after a few moments into the office Reed was waiting in. Phil swallowed hard and stepped out.

"Mister Richards, hi, I'm Phil Urich. Thank you so much for agreeing to meet with me." He crossed the room shakily to Reed's desk, wishing he'd rehearsed what he wanted to say better.

Reed stands, offering his hand to the young man.

"Not at all, Mr. Urich. And please, call me Reed. I'm very intrigued by your ideas, and I'd like to hear more."

Phil grinned nervously as he shook his hand. "Of course Mis-- err, Reed. Sorry, but I'm a little starstruck. I mean...you're... well, of course you know who you are. You're asking about me." He cleared his throat and sat down, taking a deep breath before continuing

Reed nods, as he listens.

"You're in need of facilities - and the Baxter Building is a logical choice. It's one of the most secure locations on the planet that actually has office space available for rental, and it's centrally located in New York, which sees a disproportionate number of costumed crimefighters."

"I think your project would be very complimentary to Captain America's new training program for young heroes - we have a way to try and persuade them to get their education covered first, and if they can't be dissuaded, then at least they can be trained. Would you require any sort of special equipment?"
