He was paranoid enough to be hiding in his room still, but- dude, BORED.

Passing the time, he'd stalked the online version of the Daily Bugle newspaper to see if any new pictures popped of The Thing's so-called 'adventures'. Nothing new, much to his relief, but the front and center of the webpage is that article on the mutant cure.

Hey, this is the crap Julian and his folks were arguing over... He finds himself reading until he's finished.
