Piotr Rasputin is on his knees, his fingers crunching into the earth of this island on the Siberian lake he's been abducted to. Near his family home.
He has no family left.
He just watched his last cousin die a horrible death, at the hands of a madman he had once killed already. How selfish is he to think that it is some kind of karma he earned

Mikhail was once a great Russian hero, thought lost while exploring the stars.
Mikhail was once a teacher, training outcast children to become warriors to fight for their very survival.
Now... he is working with the very same man who necessitated those survival lessons in the first place. He is writhing in the pain of the presence and he has to wonder... is it worth it?

Still, he's defiant as he can be.
"I'll consider your death a blessing."

This man has been a source of so much pain for the men in her life. Fury helps drive her, helps her ignore the pain she's in, ignore the damage she's likely doing to herself as her blow lands. "Ah am so goddamned sick o'yer bullshit. Ah won't let yah touch him."

The Winter Guard is attacking Rogue... under Sinister's control, she will make such short work of them. So he drags his brother to his feet and screams into his face.
"You can stop this, Mikhail! YOU have the power to end this nightmare!"

"I... am ending all our nightmares, Piotr," he responds, with blood on his teeth. "Our self-torture, Marrow's shell of a life, Rogue's inner madness, Grigori's long, unjust exile from this plane. It is all for the greater good..."

Piotr tosses his brother aside in frustration, feeling a panic of his own set in. Rogue - how can he save her? - subjugated to Sinister's will, destroying the Winter Guard... the Marauders having regrouped and are now descending on Katya and Sarah... perhaps the three of them will be able to reach Rogue, but he has to end all those Marauders first -

The massive green hand of the Abomination grabs Colossus by the shoulder, and his right fist comes crashing down into his face, driving him backwards into the very earth, cracking it underfoot.

Rogue streaks across the feild toward the other woman. For a few moments her eyes bleed to green as she struggles to control her own body before being shoved back into the background, pulling her fist back for a punch.

This leaves him the opportunity to go after the ugly little Marrow, who was only saved from him by the Angel's stupid, hollow little pep talk about how even ugly is pretty on the inside.
The Marauders are down, but so are the Soviets - he might go crush them while unconscious a bit later, but first to deal with the living.

Controlling Rogue's chaos takes some effort, but it will not keep him from mentally challening little Miss Pryde. Even in her phased form, she is not invulnerable to telepathic assault... so he creates an image in her mind of idyllic peace, in the midst of pitch darkness. There is nothing to see, nothing can be seen.
Meditation.
