He has no family left.

He just watched his last cousin die a horrible death, at the hands of a madman he had once killed already. How selfish is he to think that it is some kind of karma he earned

Riptide is still feeling the adrenaline rush from killing the Russkie's cousin... and he's hoping to get another high off of killing the little girl he's fancied for so long.

The Marauders have closed ranks, and are set to kill both Shadowcat and Marrow...

Harpoon is stalking the phaser, wondering if he can charge his weapon with energies that would disrupt her power...

... and Arclight is looking to find her shots as well.

They'll have to get in line for Kitty, as she has another engagement.

Rogue streaks across the feild toward the other woman. For a few moments her eyes bleed to green as she struggles to control her own body before being shoved back into the background, pulling her fist back for a punch.

Oh, seriously?

Kitty, shocked, only has time to phase before Rogue reaches her.

Damn it. She was really hoping to avoid the whole 'chick fight' thing on this trip.

And Rogue goes right on through Kitty, turning around.

Inside her head, she screams at Sinister, "Goddamnit, lemme go! LEMME GO! Stop it!"

It is of no use as the red diamond in the center of her forehead deepens in color as she phases to match, preparing another punch.

Please be quiet, little rogue. Your time is done. I look forward to gauging your compatibility with Rasputin's vessel for further breeding. Your consciousness is not required for this. I have many to choose from in this cluttered collection of thievery you call a mind.

It doesn't take much to figure out that mind control is happening.

How to stop it, though... yeah, not so easy.

She gets ready to block the blow - biding a little time to figure out how to incapacitate Rogue without seriously injuring her.

The blow is not as powerful as it could be.

In fact, coming from Rogue it isn't at all powerful, almost timid.

That's because internally Rogue is doing her best to take over her own mind again. In her own mental scape, she's blazing, flames licking along her form.

Unfortunately for Kitty it isn't enough, Rogue's hand turning over and grabbing a hold of the other woman's arm.

Well, this is going to be unpleasant.

Can't touch Rogue's skin. So Kitty uses their closeness to aim a blow for Rogue's stomach, hoping to wind her.

The blow lands as a cruel smirk finds Rogue's lips.

Kitty's jacket begins to glow with a familiar magenta light as Rogue lets go of her, putting distance between the two of them.

Get it off get it off get it off get it off!

A moment's concentration and the jacket falls through her body to the ground, as she launches up into the air.

Rogue follows her up into the air, looking to punch the other woman in the face as the internal struggle continues.

Right now she's managing not to go unconcious in her own mind. There is a terror that rests there.

Kitty has a fleeting second of regret - she liked that jacket.

Also, when it comes to fighting in mid-air, Rogue has some decided advantages. Especially now that Kitty's forearms are exposed.

This could be bad. She braces herself for Rogue's next attack.

This is the first punch that hits - really hits.

There is a lot of strength behind that punch, either she normally holds herself back or she's amplified herself with someone else with greater strength.

Kitty grunts, falling back.

So it's like that, huh? Okay then. Fine.

It takes her a split second to come back at Rogue with a swift roundhouse kick.
