Still in her robe and busy making breakfast, Sue peers over her shoulder at Reed and says fretfully, "They're not usually the sorts of people to dishonor an agreement based on something like Doom's proclamation? Are you sure it's real?"

He's invited us to address their board, personally, to quell any such ideas."

Sue regards Reed before returning to the task of cooking breakfast, stirring the eggs to avoid burning them. "I don't think I want Franklin missing school for that long."

While Sue speaks to Franklin, Reed seeks out one of the current houseguests. A quick check of the building security sensors reveals a heat signature in the library, so that is where he directs his efforts.

Reed knocks on the frame of the door as he enters, so as not to disturb her. "Betty, do you have a moment?"

Betty is curled up in a chair, borrowed laptop on the table in front of her, tapping away at...something. Email possibly. She looks past the screen at her host and smiles faintly. "Dr. Richards, of course. What can I do for you?"

Reed smiles, taking a seat opposite her.

"Sue and I have a favor to ask, if you're willing. If you don't think you can manage, please feel free to say so, and we can make other arrangements, but.. Ben, Johnny, Sue and I have been invited to Japan for a short business-related trip."

"Sue and I were wondering if you'd feel comfortable babysitting Franklin for a few days."
