It's an early morning around the breakfast table at the Baxter Building - Reed has been a little more visible, spending more time outside the the laboratory. After a morning cup of coffee, he begins to sort through the latest deliveries - the Baxter Building is the first place on Willie Lumpkin's route, after all.
Reed murmurs as stretchy fingers flip through the pile of envelopes. "Willie left us a thank-you note for the Christmas bonus - he doesn't have to do that."
One missive, in particular, catches his eyes and the envelope is opened in a moment. Reed scans through the pages quickly - it appears to be a somewhat long letter, on business stationery.
"This.. hmm. This is from the Fujikawa Corporation. One of our largest patent licensors, and one of Japan's biggest companies.."
"Because of the United Nations's actions, it seems some of their shareholders are advocating that they cease to pay licensing fees, until such time as the patents are unequivocally re-affirmed."
