Martouf escorts Elaine to her room to get her cloak, then walks to his room to retrieve a blanket, since he has no coat of his own just now. Warm layers in hand, they descend the stairs and exit to the lake for their walk.

The surface of the lake is beginning to freeze and there is a layer of snow on the ground, though it is not terribly deep yet. It is snowing quite steadily, though the stars, oddly enough, can still be seen. Elaine smiles. "It is very much like my home," she says, looking out over the white landscape.

OOC: Nope, don't need to change anything. Be back home in two hours. Time for back to work!

He studies the landscape himself.

"I'm not sure I've ever seen quite this much snow."

"It can get deeper. There were times when the snow was up to my knees--of course, I was sneaking out, then." She smiles at him. "It's beautiful."

"Are you quite warm enough?" he asks.
