Yes. Shockwave fears Soundwave will do to Blaster what Tracks' father did to Shockwave's mate.

I agree with the numerous above; I now understand Shockwave's dislike for Blaster going with Soundwave. But I wonder what would happen if Soundwave and Shockwave actually met in person? Could change his opinion...I HOPE his opinion is changed sometime in the future...

Also it touches me that Shockwave is going to treat Tracks like his son. : )

Mmmm poor Shockwave! Still, the backstory provided a lot of insight into why he's so against SW and Blaster being together. You think Shockwave would lighten up a little, even after 2 sparklings. Great backstory - thank you for writing these. You don't know how much I squee when I see a new story or art on martinicruiser, and it's tagged imperium cybertronian!
