Why can't we hand-pick the impressions we leave?

I found this funny, but it also brought to light how I am sure all of us would like to hand-pick the impressions we leave on others. I would like to be thought of as insightful, funny, vibrant and smart. Pretty as well, but that as a last impression. When thanking Candice for a gift she sent, she replied sweetly and added:

Off topic, but what happened to the meangirls community? I went to re-apply now that I am no longer at Microhell, but it seems dormant?

Everyone's really busy right now. (Contrary to frequent accussations made by applicants, we do have lives.) We mods have talked about revamping the comm and stirring up some activity but we still haven't gotten around to it.

I will keep checking in. It was so much more fun to judge people and their terrible taste in the company of many. Doing it on my own ALMOST makes me feel guilty. Almost being the operative word, obviously.
