I'm curious why you didn't let the 'zillions of ahnts!' finish their work on the lizard. They're a great recycling machine. I'm guessing you just didn't want them inviting themselves into the house?
you're exactly right-- concern for them invading the house. As long as ants and spiders stay outside I'm fine with them, but as summer wears on they're more likely to try and get inside.
At the risk of spoilerage, is "The Mule" going to be another collaboration with Dave Hopkins? And if not, will this finally push the Salem mythos beyond the "Blacklight" stories to show us what happens to him next? Now *that* I would be very interested to see! Any idea how long it's going to be? (Because "Blacklight" was, well, massive.)
Also, cool title - regardless of whether you got the inspiration from Asimov or Deep Purple. Rock on, Roz!
This is another one-shot that takes place shortly after "Fashion Victim." While Hopkin's Bob and Lisa feature in the story, in this case the writing and art will be 100% mine.
I've been putting off doing any follow-up to Blacklight because the story I have in mind is particularly nasty and I'm not sure I really want to write it at this point. Also, more importantly, I don't have an ending, and until I get that there's not much i can do.
I really need to devote my resources to getting the final chapter of City of ice done, which should be (hopefully) for AC next year.
Um, yes, "City of Ice" is most cool too. I only started reading it last year after buying Issues 1-6 from you at AC, but for all the fans who've been following it since the beginning, I can imagine how eagerly they're looking forward to the long-awaiting conclusion to the story. I know I am!
But, of course, also looking forward to "The Mule" too. Is that going to be for publication? If so, I'll hope to pick up both "Mule" and the final "City of Ice" at AC next year!
I was riding a bike in Mississauga Ontario the other day after dark when I saw a cat cross a road at high speed. About 3 seconds later a coyote crossed the same road in hot pursuit. Never found out how that one came out.
I suppose there's no bounty on these things where you are?

Yeah, I've seen them Hollywood coyotes roaming the streets at night. They come down the hills when it gets really cold. Well, cold for L.A.
