Making this super quick, on account of I am off to what is sure to be a really painful meeting. But I am committed to rolling this final stretch out on time, so, here we go!

Day 29 - A piece of trivia from a favourite film Favourite film as a child
Yeah, I'm nixing the trivia, because I can't think of any, and if I was just going to look something up, you could just do that on your own if you cared. So instead, I will lead-in to my favourite film of all time with a former favourite film of all time.

So, I'm a child of the 80s, which you knew already unless you're like super bad at math, in which case: awww. ;( That means that "as a child" was a really long time ago, and I can't guarantee that I won't post this, and mention it to my mom only to have her say "no it wasn't! your favourite movie was _____".. the distance and time make me fallible, is what I'm saying. (To which, I can already picture her telling me my favourite movie was Caddyshack, but for the life of me, I do not remember Caddyshack at all, and if it didn't leave a lasting impression so whatever.) But the first movie I really remember loving, like watching over and over and over again, and quoting, and having action figures and the like, was Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Yeah, that's right. I even had the Mola Ram figure, with heart-ripping action grip. He was not to scale with my other action figures, but frequently played a super-short villain anyways. I had this movie on Betamax, that's how deep my love of it goes. I never really got into Raiders of the Lost Ark until I was older, because I always got upset when the monkey died. And while I loved Disney, that second golden age didn't really hit until I was like 11, and the earlier films (as much as I loved them, and oh man, did I ever watch Alice in Wonderland and That Darn Cat over and over) didn't really feel like mine. And that Temple of Doom love lasted as a favourite a good long time… right up until The Last Crusade came out, if I was going to wager on it.

Honorable Mention: Joe vs. the Volcano, Can't Buy Me Love, Ghostbusters, The Fog.

Tomorrow: MY FAVOURITE FILM OF ALL TIME, YOU GUYS.
