I didn't get to see the Indiana Jones movies until I was 15 or 16, but I loved them immediately. I'm jealous that you got to grow up with them!

Hehe well, to be fair, I probably watched Temple of Doom at a rather inappropriate age. ;) I remember my mom being sort of like, "Er, really?" to my dad at a few points during the movie. :P

I've been an Indy fangirl since I was 6. I credit Raiders of the Lost Ark for my passion for history and film. And, incidentally, film history. However, I can't stand Temple of Doom. As a child I'd watch Raiders and Last Crusade on loop. I know those two films like the back of my hand. My parents hated Temple so, as a result, I never saw it as a child because they never bought it on VHS. I was ignorant of its very existence until the age of 12, when I finally saw it as a friends house. I didn't like it then and I like it even less now. HAHA. I've been bashed by other Indy diehards for not liking it, but what can I say? ;)

Haha, people have bashed you? Really? I always kind of thought Temple of Doom was like the red-headed stepchild of the Indy family... I used to get mocked just for not hating it, even after I grew up enough to appreciate Raiders and Last Crusade came out and everything, both of which bumping it down to third (if still beloved) place.

Oh yeah! The Indy fandom isn't as gentle as you'd think. It was when Crystal Skulls was out; there was a ton of newbies as well as the old ones. Everyone was ranking their favourite/least favourite Indy films. I had the audacity, according to some, to rank Temple lower than Crystal Skulls.

I was really surprised because, as you said, back in the day you would be mocked for actually liking it! I guess it has some underground cult following we don't know about!
