Today was Veronica's 21st birthday.

And she was spending it, alone, in her apartment in DC. Her bosses had given her the day off, which she appreciated, but she was definitely missing her friends.

Oh, sure, she could have gone out for her first legal drink with some of her co-workers, but that somehow wasn't the same.

Piper knew what day it was. That would be why Veronica's phone was ringing sometime during the day.

"Guess she would know," Piper replied, slight agitation in her voice. She hadn't forgotten Chelsea.

"I'll have to ask Isabel," Veronica said. "Anyway, did you find out if you can get the weekend off to visit?"

"Already taken care of. I may have planned this for a while," Piper replied.

Veronica grinned. "You are the best BFF ever."

"I take my BFF duties very seriously," Piper said, giggling.

"As well you should," Veronica said.

"Anyway, I'll see you this weekend," Piper said. "Anything you want me to bring?"

"Just having you here will be awesome," Veronica said.

Piper grinned. "That's simple enough."

"What can I say, I'm easy to please."

"There are so many responses I could say to that," Piper laughed. "But I should probably get back to work."

Veronica laughed too. "Okay. I'll see you on Friday?"
