There was a disembodied knock, then Bel shimmered in. "You rang?" he said.

"Hey, thanks for doing this," Veronica said, smiling at him.

"I just don't get why you're going with Dick," Bel said.

Veronica shrugged. "He asked. I felt bad for him so I figured why not."

Piper smiled at her friend. "You look great."

Veronica grinned. "Thanks. I'm still feeling a little weird about this whole thing, but at least I look fabulous."

"You definitely do," Piper agreed. "I have to admit, I do think it's a little strange that you're going with Dick."

"So do I," Veronica admitted. "But given everything that happened, I feel like it's the right thing to do."
