Cally was at her workshop and Veronica had a few phone calls she needed to make.

It took her a few minutes to do the math on the time zones since she hadn't had much sleep, but she decided to call Marty first.

"Blank," Marty said answering the phone.

Marty would hear the following song playing through the speakers.

"That song makes it sound like I should be walking around with a cane and yelling at the kids to get off my lawn," Marty said with a chuckle.

"Happy Birthday," Veronica said, forcing her tone to be cheerful. "How's Paris?"

After hanging up with Marty, Veronica decided that almost 10am was not too early to call Angel in LA.

Angel pressed the button to answer his ringing Blackberry. "Angel."

"Hey," Veronica said. She didn't force the cheerful tone like she did with Marty.

Angel caught the tone at once. "Veronica. What's wrong?"
