Veronica woke up.

Her first thought was 'Why does it feel like I ate my pillow while was I sleeping?'

Her second thought was 'I hope Nadia can get me that recipe

After ACJ, Marty followed V back to the attic to catch up on what has been going on since he left Fandom. For some reason he was pretty sure the conversation was not going to be a happy-happy-joy-joy one.

Veronica unlocked the door and led Marty inside, making a beeline for the coffee pot. She had been feeling really mellow still when she got to class, but the discussion topic managed to kill that.

Once she got the coffee started, she walked in and sat in the arm chair, pulling her legs up and resting her chin on top of her knees.

"So, you're back for good, right?"

"Unless they kick me out," Marty replied as he flopped down on the couch. "I'm not sure how much of what happened got back to the school and Professor Tick is the only teacher I've really talked to so far."

"As far as I know, no one beyond those of us directly involved knows much of anything," Veronica said. She shifted uncomfortably. "I only mentioned it to a couple of people and definitely no one official."
