[Rei is setting up the PCD, but accidentally turns it on before she means to. There is ink on her fingers and her calligraphy set is on her table, a small sheath of white paper ready to be inked.

A slight frown appears as she notices the red light and she fidgets with the video feed for a minute until the filter is in place.]

[Raven eyes Rei and the calligraphy set with interest. She already saw Japanese people using that kind of ink stone and brushes on T.V. and well... a PCD makes it look a bit like she's watching one of those documentaries on foreign cultures.]

[Also she's not yet aware that PCD can switch themselves on and randomly record things. So it doesn't feel like she's prying into someone else's private life.]

[When Rei arrives, she'll find Raven eyes closed and levitating about one meter above her bedroom's floor, in her usual meditation posture.]

[Raven is repeating the same three words under her breath, again and again, like a mantra.]

[... if it weren't for the fact that Hitsugaya could walk on air, Rei might have stared a moment longer than necessary. But she taps on the doorframe, quietly, so she doesn't startle Raven.]

[Except for those words, Raven's posture doesn't change for a few seconds. Then she opens her eyes slowly, like someone taking their time to wake up, and uncrossed her legs, landing softly on the floor.]

Rei. [She nods.] Thanks for coming over so quickly.

Yes. I do this daily, even several times a day on very bad ones. It's kinda... soothing and it helps me sort my thoughts.

[And isn't it a nice way to put it? But then you can't tell someone you just met that you're not quite sane and need this to keep what's left of your sanity in check...]

I guess it's a bit like calligraphy for you. Or do you practice meditation as well?

I meditate sometimes. It's soothing. And the calligraphy is practical as well as soothing -- I practice ofuda.

[She takes a few step toward Rei, leaning in to examine the Ofuda.]

How does it work? I assume you have to stick it on something or someone and then...?

Sort of. It causes demons to be exorcised and causes normal people to freeze in place. They eliminate darkness.

[Oh wow. Raven's mind is reeling now. It couldn't be that easy now could it?]

And it always works? Even with very powerful demons?

It depends. I've used them on enemies here before and I've had a success every time.
