The signs are mixed

Life deals you wild cards all the time.
What does it all  mean?

Today I received a call from Target Corporation. I interviewed with them last month for a position in their regional centre and HQ. Last month HQ wanted to fly me out to Minneapolis to interview me but I could not go due to the present job that I have. Well, they still want to fly me ( Read more... )

First of all, congratulations on the interview! I hear your inner debate and don't envy your the decision you must make. It's a tough one!

For now, concentrate on preping for the interview and finding out if you would be happy in the position in the first place.

What do they say before you have an interview??? Break a resume??

Thank you very much. I will indeed do my best to prep with the little time I have (soooo busy nowadays). You are right too, I am going there to interview them as much as they are going to interview me. I suppose you can say that both Target and I will be shopping for the best candidate/employer. Sometimes though it would be great just to get a letter that says "Dear M, this is the universe telling you to shut the hell up and take this job already. It will led you down a path that you want to go."

You know? (Sorry for ranting but I guess I needed to get it all out!)

Aw man. This sounds like a tough thing to wrap your brain around. Maybe it's one of those times you have to just trust that the universe is leading you down a path you need to travel.

I'm trying...really I am. But I have a hard time letting the universe tell me what to do. On the other hand fighting it has not always been useful. I really don't know right now. I will try to remain positive and open-minded. It's hard not to just say 'no' and look for something here or in London (which is damn hard).

Hmmm, yeah I understand your delimna. I say try not to worry about it right now. You have an interview and that's great. Go on the interview and see how it goes. See how you feel. Only worry about it if you're offered a position. At that point, tell them you need to think it over. And then do so. Weigh the pros and cons and in doing so listen to your heart. Your heart is the best compass in the world, it will never lead you astray if you listen close enough to it.
*hugs*

Good advice. I don't know if I could trust my heart right now though. It's not completely rational, if you know what I mean. In any case it will be great to meet the VP and the others on the team. They seem like people you want to have as a contact.

One step at a time, I suppose.

I'll send you the job description once I get it. Then you can tell me whether you see potential in it.
