[Blessedly unaffected by all the weirdness, Ron spent the time on his own, actually thinking about things, about previous years and how really, this is the quietest May he's had since before he went to Hogwarts.

And yeah, Somarium did weird things but he kind of misses the trio, Harry, Hermione and himself and whoever else tagged along, off doing ( Read more... )

They're dark witch and wizard catchers. What's your world called?

I think the High Wizards are in charge of where I'm from.

Wizards are in charge of everything, even non-magical people? Or do you just have a Ministry type thing for that?

A Ministry? No, I don't think so.

I know there's an army.

Is there a war going on?

The Queen is in charge, whatever are you talking about. Are you telling me Wizards don't even listen to the Queen?

The Queen's just on Muggle coins. I didn't take Muggle studies but it's the Minister of Magic who tells witches and wizards what is and isn't allowed. Muggles have a government too so the Queen is just like...a figurehead I guess.

She is so much more than that!

No she's not. Maybe she is to you but she's not to witches and wizards. Ask Draco or Harry if you don't believe me.

Hmm, there's a lot of magical people around here! And you're from Great Britain? I know someone from there! Also, what's a Muggle?

As for government and stuff at home...we have police. But Hime-chan's in charge of our town, she's the mayor. And then there's another mayor of the whole ward, his name is Yuuhi-san and he's kind of a pervert but he's like a land god and it's a thing. And then I think there's someone in charge of all of Tokyo? Like a governor or something? And then there's a Prime Minister who's in charge of all of Japan? And I think we have ministries like that, too, but they're not magical?

And I don't really know what's up with government in Somarium but Hime-chan wants to run for mayor!

Oh! My name is Touka Kishi, by the way. Nice to meet you.

Yeah? Not many people have heard of where I'm from there though. A Muggle's what we call a non-magical person though.

Hime-chan? [He has no idea if that's meant to mean something and honestly, he wasn't expecting this much for an answer but it's interesting anyway.] Wait...land god? [And perverts. Honestly, where do you even live woman?]

That's um...that's a lot to take in but some of it sounds the same.

Oh, I'm Ron Weasley, nice to meet you too.

[She laughs.]

I'm not really sure where Juri-san is from, even. Somewhere in England.

Yeah! Hime-chan's my best friend. Oh, right. Her proper name is Hime Yarizakura. And yeah. A land god is like...a god who watches over a certain area of land. Yuuhi-san is the land god of Setagaya Ward, in addition to being the mayor. And Yae-san is the land goddess of our town. Although she's not mayor. Hime-chan's mayor.

So what's being a......what's a boy witch called? What's that like?

So...actually real then? That's bloody weird. And how old is Hime-chan if she's a mayor?

We're called wizards and I don't know, I've never been anything else we're just people who can use magic. When you take things for granted s'not like you spend loads of time wondering about it. [He might wonder about it now though. Or maybe not. Some things he really does just take for granted.]

What are you actually looking for, the police or some kind of magical hierarchy?

If the former, then yes - though I'm not sure how efficient they are.

If the latter...not really, although I am the self-titled High Warlock of Espoir. It just sounds exciting on a business card and allows me to charge more.

Neither. I'm on the police now but it's more a Muggle thing. Or a dream thing. I just thought that somewhere like this, with this many people and shops and all the weird stuff that seems to go on all the time that there'd be some sort of Muggle/Dream/whatever else works Ministry around.

[Loaded pause. He lives in Espoir, he has never heard of you before.]

I live there for now... Wait, why would you be charging for things?

Because only an idiot - or someone who doesn't know what they're doing would give out freebies.
