I just got back from a visit with Jesse in Madison.

On the first day, we went to a huge farmers' market that they have on Saturdays around the capital building. It was wonderful. There wasn't any fruit yet, but they had almost every kind of seasonal veggie you could want, as well as tons of flowers, both cut and potted. A lot of local artists

i might be interested in sharing a ride up to that corner of the world sometime -- i have a handful of friends that way and can likely be persuaded to join you in such a pursuit. and i've still never been to wisconsin!

That could be fun. I flew this time - it was actually less expensive than driving - but if I should ever want to make that trip by road, I'll see what can be done.

Madison is a beautiful city. You'd love it. It's built around/between two lovely huge lakes and thus it has a large population of nature lovers. Plus, they really put the city planning into action: the downtown area puts Columbus to shame with all of its shops and restaurants and museums. You should totally try to get out there if you can. ^__^
