Plus, he was narcissistic enough to actually enjoy seeing himself on the cover of things when they were actually on the shelves. That never got old.
He was rummaging through random magazines when there was a commotion. Books scattered along the floor, a pile of pages and bent bindings. With Marlow Linney looking suspiciously like she was trying to hide behind the now empty display stand.
Hand covering his face, he laughed, not able to fully get it under control by the time he crossed the aisles to look at her with bright, amused blue eyes. "Very graceful and smooth. Good job."

And then there was Zacharias, the hand covering his face doing nothing to muffle his laughter.
She took a ginger step over a pile in front of her feet, offering him a sort of sheepish smile.
"I like to keep the sales associates on their toes," she said, wrinkling her nose. "That was completely on purpose."

"You're probably three minutes from being full on banned. A professor. Banned from a book store." He clicked his tongue a few times against the roof of his mouth.
