I Definitely Did Not Just Not a Stack of Books Over [closed]

She let her eyes flicker over the leather bound cover, the raised lettering green with a speckle of glitter catching her eye. It was a new biography on Adalbert Waffling and as she'd already nearly worn all his own texts down to its bindings, she felt compelled to pick this one up. She had been fascinated on his ideas of magical theory. She was leaning against the edge of the bookshelf, pouring through the pages, when she caught sight of him-

Zacharias Smith.

What he was doing in the middle of Tomes and Scolls she had no idea.

Did he really visit bookstores in his spare time?

That'd be entirely too adorable and she needed that to absolutely not be the case.

She still didn't know how to explain what happened that night- how she'd let herself get so bloody emotional and frazzled. And to take it out on Riah, of all people. But he had somehow managed to calm her down, make her feel better- hell he'd practically put her to bed with a blanket and a glass of water.

Which meant she absolutely could not see him.

So she did what any normal, perfectly well-adjusted young woman does and ducked behind a rather large and toppling display of new novels by Kenilworthy Whisp.
