Island fever. Cured.
We're in Maui. Yesterday Max and Parni and I went snorkeling for the first time together. Swam with a largish turtle for a bit. I wasn't sure he'd even want to go in the ocean period, but he took to snorkeling like a pro. He is wearing his life jacket, which makes it easier. Weekend anecdotes
- So my uncle David has this cabin on the Trask River in the mountains above Tillamook. It used to be a cabin, back in the old days - now it's a touch more upscale. Harry Potter
On July 25th, 2005 I posted the following quote: "Oh yeah, bought the Harry Potter book Saturday. Read it Sunday. Very interesting. Quiet the cliffhanger. Anyone think she can do the last one in less than 1,000 pages? 'Cause I don't. I also think that Harry himself is a horcrux, but that's neither here nor there."

Angel of Music.....
When Max was at his Grandma's, his cousins and he watched Phantom of the Opera (the ALW movie version) and he has become fascinated with it. Sunday sunday
So we accessorized the back of the BMW with our bike rack and headed downtown for a ride. We've got one of those half-bike-trailer-things that hooks onto the back of Parni's bike, so Max can ride along, although next time he'll ride his little bike I think. Yes, I'm cheating on LJ
So clearly I haven't been posting very much over the last year. This is largely due to the fact that I'm pretty busy with work and parenting, and I just don't seem to have the energy that I once did for blurbing it all on LJ after I'm done with the day, and also because I'm not on the road so much anymore, which has cut down on my avaiable downtime ( Read more... ) -
Life goes on....
So nothing truly exciting going on. I may or may not have mentioned this in my very few posts lately, but I started going to Tae Kwon Do classes in mid-April. I go twice a week, on Tuesday and Thursday at noon. It's the first time I've taken anything like that, and to my surprise, I'm actually pretty good at it.
