it's not that I can't do it, it's just that I have no idea WHAT I'm doing

59: what's your favorite myth?

I don't have one, I don't think. I just tried to Wiki some but the lists are all long and involved and there's way too many to flip through so I guess I just don't have one.

That was a shitty question and answer so I want to do another question.

60: do you like poetry? what are some of your faves?Eh, it's okay. I ( Read more... )

Studying poetry killed my love for it for a while. :P I've rekindled my appreciation for it, though!

(Although I still don't get epic poetry. I'd rather read narrative and character's thoughts and feelings.)

That's great that you got so many reviews!

The only poetry I remember studying in school was "Beowulf" and I think a BIT of "The Caterbury Tales" (and not even the whole thing!). It suuuuuuucked.

I like how easy ED is for me to follow and understand. I'm not really one for analyzing things with deeper meaning unless it smacks me in the face with its obviousness.

I like poetry, but having to write poetry for school sort of sucked the fun of it for me for a while.

I'm pretty sure I never had to write any for school, just study the boring ones like "Beowulf" and "The Canterbury Tales".

And you can never go wrong with Emily Dickenson, either
I'm not much for poetry (which was apparently considered a sin by most of the rest of the English majors), but you've got a point.

I'm slow getting around to the eps of The Broad Couple since most of my podcast listening is via itunes & while I'm driving. I've enjoyed what I've heard so far though. :)

I'm a fan of haikus and limericks but as soon as I have to start seeing the hidden meaning in poetry I usually tap out. I like how words sound together but that's the same as with lyrics for me. I mean, can't a poem about a bird or an apple just be about a bird or an apple?

Thank you for listening! Neither of us is exactly concise when we talk so I'm really excited to hear you're enjoying it!

I think I get myths and urban legends mixed up and it was hard for me to get out of that line of thinking.

How cold does it get there in the winter? I can't imagine you have -40 temps like we do here, right?
